Summer 2021

SUMMER 2021 LACROSSE

Thank you to every player, family, coach and volunteer who made the 2021 season a success!

We had over 220 girls participate across five different age groups including PreK all the way up to 8th grade! We had wonderful support from Marblehead High School Varsity players who came out to help out with March/April practices. Our two Select teams and handful of new goalies benefitted from personal attention and coaching thanks to Allie Forman and Hadley Carlton.

My hope is for everyone to continue playing lacrosse this summer -- either against a wall somewhere, in the backyard with friends or at a camp or clinic. More touches in the off season makes a world of difference. I also hope our rising 9th graders continue with lacrosse in high school -- MHS has a great tradition of lacrosse. The secondary goal of our program is to provide middle schoolers with the skills and understanding of the game to prepare them for next level play in high school. To our graduating 8th graders, congratulations and keep a stick in your hand. We want to come cheer you on next spring at MGLAX DAY!

COMING UP -- MHS Varsity at Swampscott June 14 at 4pm -- the final conference game between two teams with very similar records. Join us for MGLAX DAY away at Swampscott ... and who knows, we might just be able to get an ice cream truck to show up for us all! Please come and cheer on the red, white and black!!

SUMMER CLINICS & TEAM PLAY OPPORTUNITIES -- Below is a general list of camps, clinics and team play (in no particular order) that have been shared with me over the last few weeks. I hope for those who want to keep playing you can find something that fits your schedule, time commitment and age group.
